Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
Sue came to Sylvan Learning Center of Palm Harbor with 15 years of teaching experience. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Masters in Technology.
As the Center Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center. She is very excited to be a part of Sylvan's family. Sue loves Sylvan's personalized approach to instruction which taps into a child's natural urge to learn, while making it fun.
Steve graduated summa cum laude earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida with 12 credit hours towards his masters degree. He has also taught at St. Petersburg’s college and been an adjunct professor for 6 years. Steve enjoys helping children realize their strengths and abilities in mathematics. He also enjoys showing them how learning math can be both interesting and rewarding.
Maria has been a member of our Sylvan family for over 2 years. She has a Masters of Education from the college of New Rochelle, New York. Besides teaching at Sylvan she is the director of Kid's Club Latino and Director of Sunday Bible School. Maria loves to teach and work with children. It shows each and every day she teaches here at Sylvan.
Elizabeth graduated from Clearwater Christian College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education: Exceptional Student Education (K-12) and ESOL Endorsement. She has also taught at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China at the Intensive English Language School. She is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Education Leadership at National-Louis University. Elizabeth is very passionate about teaching students and wants to impact their lives through her teaching.

Fran Stumpff has over 25 years of teaching experience. She has taught English and Print Journalism at Shorecrest Preparatory School, served as assessment administrator for Westat Research Corp., & helped run a family business. Fran attended FSU and received her B.S. in English and Journalism. She finds it rewarding to help students achieve their potential. She loves how the process here at Sylvan guides them toward that goal.

Jeannette McCabe graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English and Literature from George Washington University and University of North Florida. She loves teaching at Sylvan because she can give the students personalized attention and seeing their confidence grow. Also, Jeannette’s daughter attended Sylvan and she was so impressed with her improvement in reading comprehension that she wanted to work here and do the same for other students.
