Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
- Pinpoint your child’s learning needs using the Sylvan Skills Assessment®
- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding
Annette Miller
Owner/Executive Director
Annette has been a Sylvan Owner for over eleven years. She has enjoyed operating centers that have guided students in several counties to reach their maximum academic potential. Annette currently owns and operates nine Sylvan Learning Center as well as plays an active role in the communities in order to help educate parents about the wonderful opportunity Sylvan can bring to a child of any age. Annette has been married for ten years to Doug and is a proud mother of two beautiful children.
Rebecca Coleman
East Regional Director
Rebecca received her B.A. in Science Education and Biology in 1997. Rebecca has been with Sylvan for 10 years. She began her career with Sylvan as a teacher, and worked her way up to Director of Education, and then Center Director. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her cat and her dog. What she loves most about Sylvan is meeting with parents and watching the students' academic success blossom.
Ventura Moy
Director of Education
Ventura graduated from Winter Haven High School in 2001 and from the University of South Florida in 2009. She currently holds her teaching certificate for K-6. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends and supporting her local charities. What Ventura loves most about Sylvan is getting to know many different students.
Vicky Morejon
Administrative Assistant/Instructional Intern
Vicky was born in Venezuela and was raised on a little island called Bonaire for 6 years. Upon moving to Florida, Vicky graduated from a local high school, Gateway High. She is currently enrolled at Florida Christian College and is majoring in Cross-Cultural Ministries. She also has her Associates Degree in Elementary Education. Vicky loves working with children and Sylvan is giving her a great opportunity in her field.
Michele Chabrol, MS Educational Leadership, BA Education
Assistant Director
Michele holds certificates of education in the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida. She has been with Sylvan for over 5 years and has lived in Florida for over 10 years. She currently teaches kindergarten in Osceola county and also shares her artistic talents with at-risk youth by teaching an art class 2 days per week.
Mary Black
Instructor
Mary is a life-long learner and dedicated Educator for over 30 years. She has taught school in various levels and then became a Principal. After she retired, she came back to education as an Assistant Principal. She enjoys tutoring students to see them grow and progress.
Jenna Taylor
Instructor
Jenna was born and raised in St.Cloud, Florida. She graduated from St.Cloud High School in 2002 and from the University of Central Florida in 2009. She currently holds her teaching certification for K-6. In Jenna's spare time she enjoys taking her son to Disney, to playgrounds, and to Sebastian Inlet to swim. What Jenna is looking forward to the most about working at Sylvan, is getting to know the students and see them succeed in life and school.
Rebecca Pacuch
Instructor
Rebecca is a native Floridian from Kissimmee. Rebecca is passionate about teaching and making learning fun. She is an elementary educator with ESOL certification in grades K-6. She is finishing her Master's degree in education and will start national board certification. Rebecca comes from a family of educators--her mom and sister are both teachers too. In her free time Rebecca likes to read, swim, travel, play piano, go to the mall, and enjoy the beach. She likes tutoring to help students learn and succeed in school.
Amanda Hume
Instructor
Amanda Hume has a BA in Elementary Education. Amanda's teaching experience includes Christian schools, public schools, and homeschooling. She along with her husband and daughter have lived in Orlando for two year. At Sylvan she enjoys working with all the students with their wide range of ages and personalities.
