Parent Testimonial
"Dear Mrs. Rebecca Coleman,
I would like to take this opportunity to express how happy I am with your staff, Sylvan center and of course the amazing achievement my son made this past semester at your center. My son G. Correa was a 7th grade student last year and since elementary he has been struggling with Reading. Once FCAT started for him it was always such a stress for us since G. Correa was taking Speech Therapy since Pre-K. Through out the years G. Correa's FCAT scores on reading were always Level 1 or barely making it to Level 2. Every year I saw myself going to the school, meeting with the school staff to come up with plans & ways to target his reading problems. Once G. Correa reached middle school, the school system will place any student with a low FCAT score in intensive reading the following year. Well.... by 7th grade my son was in intensive reading twice per semester.. :( I honestly don't think this works.. We were very desperate and running out of hope. This past year like every year I went to school and asked to speak with the principal, asst. principal, teachers, etc... This time things needed to be different, one more time we talked about G. Correa's school background, plans, targets, expectations, etc... and I asked for some other options... two weeks later I received an application for tutoring thru Osceola County. At first, I thought it was not going to work... but we decided to give it a try and we choose your center. From the first visit to your center to G. Correa's last day.... You & your staff were so professional, courteous, friendly and very easy going with parents & students. One of G. Correa's tutoring days was Saturdays at 12 noon and G. Correa never complainted about goimg to your center. (Okay...so... for a 13 year old getting up on a Saturday to go to tutoring without complaining...that tells you a lot..)
Please share with me the amazing feeling of seeing the light of hope...... He went from a Level 1 to a Level 3.. WOW!!!! I'm not only very proud of my son but I will be forever grateful to your center, staff & all the hard work that was done to achieve this.
Thanks!!!! Rebbeca, G. Correa's tutors & the staff at your center for a JOB WELL DONE!!"
