Sylvan's Basic Math Program provides all students with specific instruction on basic computation skills, problem solving, measurement, graphing, equations, and numeration. The program addresses mastery, as well as, application of mathematical concepts.
Designed for the reader who needs instruction in basic reading skills. Sylvan's Beginning Reading Program helps students to develop skills in phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Sylvan's Academic Reading Program helps students to develop both the basic skills and the higher level critical thinking skills needed for success in reading.
Designed to improve writing skills, this program teaches the process approach to writing paragrahs, letters, and essays. It stresses the fundamentals of capitalization, punctuation, editing, and sentence building.
Sylvan's Study Skills Program is designed for students who perform at grade level but need effective study techniques, organizational skills, time management skills, and test-taking strategies. This program includes reading and listening skills, as well as outlining, note-taking, and test-taking strategies.
