High School Tutoring Programs
Math
Sylvan Math Essentials

Sylvan's Academic Reading Program helps students to develop both the basic skills and the higher level critical thinking skills needed for success in reading.
Advanced Reading Skills
Sylvan's Advanced Reading Skills Program is an excellent program for students entering high school, for those planning to attend college or university, or for those struggling to keep up with their current course work. Students are taught to read faster and retain more through Sylvan's nationally recognized speed reading and comprehension program.
Advanced Reading Skills helps students cover more course work in less time to achieve greater academic success.
Students complete a myriad of skill-building activities designed to improve reading performance.
Certified Sylvan instructors administer tests to determine each student's academic strengths and weaknesses and continue to test the student throughout the program to monitor progress.
Sylvan guarantees to raise a student's effective reading rate (words per minute times comprehension) by at least 50% after just 12 hours of instruction. See participating Center for details.
