Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
Inez Crepps is the Center Director. Her passion for Sylvan began with the desire to help children succeed during her career as a teacher. She has 10 years teaching experience, an undergraduate degree in social work and a Masters in teaching. As the Center Director, Inez works with teachers, educational specialists, school administrators and parents to make Sylvan the best experience possible. She is married, has a daughter in college, an older son and daughter-in-law and four beautiful grandchildren.
Karen Graycarek is the Director of Education. She was inspired to open Sylvan in Elizabethtown during her time teaching at a local school. She knew her community needed a place where children could attend to get extra help with school. Karen has 12 years teaching experience with an undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of North Carolina. She is married, has one 15 year old son, and two young daughters.
Paula is the Director of Education. She has 31 years of teaching experience in various parts of the country. In her early years of teaching, she ran an LD-Resource Room and worked with many students similar to the ones we teach at Sylvan. She is married and has two grown sons. Her interests include yoga, gourmet cooking, and almost any form of fitness activity, especially hiking and backpacking.
Theresa is the Associate Director of Education and a teacher for Elizabethtown’s Sylvan Learning. She has ten years teaching experience and an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Calgary. She is married and has a daughter in college. During her time off, she loves to scrapbook and watch her daughter compete in equestrian events.
Debbie Pruitt is the Administrative Assistant. She is a former teacher and has a degree from Western Kentucky University. She is married and has a son, daughter-in-law, and new grandson. Her interests include reading and outdoor activities, especially gardening and fishing.
