Instructor - Contract Services

We are now accepting resumes for contract services Instructors for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

As a part-time contract site Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 3:1 setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Reading and Basic Math.

As a successful Instructor, you will
deliver quality instruction:
• Teach using Sylvan based programs
• Supervise, interact with and motivate students during the instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials
• Reward students for completed assignments
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate student needs to the contract site manager
• Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

We require
• Bachelor’s degree
• State level teaching certification

Upper Level Math Instructor

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
• Proficiency in tutoring upper level math: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics
