Marcie is a 1995 graduate of Miami University, with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Marcie began her career at Sylvan in 1996 as an instructor. She was then a Director of Education, a Center Director, and for eight years, an Executive Director.
While Sara is a new addition to the Sylvan Learning Center in Centerville, she is no stranger to Sylvan. Sara has been a Director with Sylvan for four years. Originally from Toledo, Sara graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's in Education (certified Pre-K through 3). She and her husband moved to the Dayton area in the fall of 2011. She is learning about the area, and really enjoys it so far. In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time with family and friends. Sara also enjoys reading and movies, and she loves spending weekends at Lake Erie during the summer. Sara enjoys Sylvan because she gets to see students realize their own capabilities on a daily basis. She has seen hundreds of students meet and exceed their academic goals, and gain confidence along the way.
Robin received her Bachelors of Science and teaching certification from Wright State University. She also has a Masters in reading from the University of Dayton. Robin's hobbies include traveling, hiking, and photography.
Marcie graduated from Wright State University with a degree in Elementary Education and is certified grades 1-8. She loves spending time with her family and playing outside with her two boys.
Tony received his degree and teaching certification in mathematics education from The Ohio State University in 1982. He has attended Miami University and the University of Dayton for continuing education classes. Currently, Tony holds a Professional Teaching License in the state of Ohio for grade 7- 12 mathematics.
Courtney earned her bachelor's degree in middle childhood education from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Her areas of specialization include language arts and science. Courtney enjoys substitute teaching for students in grades 6 through 12. She really loves helping kids learn to better readers, writers, and overall students. Courtney also has three dogs and one cat. For fun, she really enjoys grilling out, playing cards, sewing, and reading.
Belinda has worked with Sylvan for one and a half years. She received both her Bachelors and Masters in Education from Wright State University. She is married and has three children; one boy and two girls. In her spare time, Belinda enjoys reading, planting flowers in her garden, exercising, and watching t.v.
Born and raised in Springboro, Mallory graduated from Wright State University in 2008 with a degree in Early Childhood Education (pre-K -3rd grade). Upon graduation, Mallory taught in a preschool for two years and loved it! She is currently subbing in several districts in the area. Mallory is a big sports fan, and in her free time, she loves to watch the Reds play!
Melissa grew up on the coast of Eastern North Carolina in Jacksonville. She attended East Carolina University for her undergraduate degree in High School English Education. She has taught high school English, remedial college English, AVID, Johns Hopkins Reading Strategies, and the Marine Corps Military Academic Skills Program. Melissa has been in Dayton for a little over a year and is continuing her education to obtain a Master's of Education in adult Education and English.
Keith is a Centerville, Ohio resident and graduated from Miamisburg High School in 2002. Keith earned his bachelors in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton and a certification in mathematics- grades 7 through 12 from Indiana Wesleyan University. He loves BW3's boneless wings, college football and basketball, movies, and running. Keith was married in 2007 and has a dog named after his favorite football team's mascot, Brutus!
Heather received her bachelors in Integrated Secondary Social Studies from Miami University.
Heather teaches the English and Reading sections of our ACT Prep course.
