Greg is a returning local who graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1983 and Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1987 (BS-Business) and 1995 (MBA). After school Greg spent several years working as a financial analyst for multi-national companies in Indiana, Ohio, Canada, and Japan. Happily back on native soil with his wife, he and Tamayo both look forward to helping young students in Indiana build the skills and confidence they need for their future.
Shawn Sullivan (Mr. S.) is the Director of Education and a graduate of Purdue University. He graduated with a degree in Computer Animation and worked in Chicago for several years making television commercials. JCPenney, Xerox, and Ford were just a few of his clients. However, he felt called to be a teacher and therefore went back to school to receive his Education degree. He comes to Sylvan with teaching experience in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade classrooms and a dedication to the social and academic growth of all students. In 2010, Mr. S. moved back to Indiana with his wife, Monique, and joined the Franklin Sylvan Learning Center.
Mr. Bultman has taught Middle School Math for 29 years; at Custer Baker Middle School from 1982-2008 and at Franklin Community Middle School since 2008. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Franklin College in 1982. He has also earned a Majors Mathematics and Education Masters Degree of Education from Indiana University in 1988.
Mr. Bultman is married, has 2 children, and lives in the Franklin area. In his free time he enjoys reading about US History, particularly the Civil War time period.
I have taught general and special ed for 29 years K-8th grade. I love to see children experience academic growth , even little bits at a time. I have done private tutoring and worked for Sylvan for 13 years. I currently teach at Custer Baker Intermediate School at the 6th grade level. I am registered in America's Whose Who for teachers in 2007.
I have been married to the same man for 43 years and have 3 beautiful daughters ,10 even more beautiful grandchildren and one "cute as a button" great grandson!! I enjoy sewing, gardening, baking and fun days with my grandchildren.
Elizabeth Fulkman graduated from Greenwood Community High School. She currently attends IUPUC and will be starting her blocks in the fall. She is majoring in Elementary Education with a dual license in Special Needs Education. She hopes to one day teach at a local school or open up a tutoring program in a hospital to help kids keep up in school.
Elizabeth recently got married in October of 2011 to her high school sweetheart. They enjoy living in Franklin with their three dogs.
I am an Indian Creek High School Graduate who went on to Ball State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Ball State and then returned to my home town. I have been teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Indian Creek Intermediate School for 19 years. I love to see the light of understanding come on in a student as they learn.
I am a mother of two daughters ages 12 and 16 who attend Franklin Schools. I love reading, long walks, and jigsaw puzzles.
Mr. Kasper is a graduate of Plainfield High School. He then went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Ball State University in Mathematics Education. He has taught for 11 years at Franklin Community High School, teaching Algebra I & II, Pre-Calculus, Prob/Stat/Discrete Math, and AP Calculus. He is also the head coach of the academic competition teams. He has taught at Sylvan for 3 years.
Mr. Kasper has been married for 10 years and has 3 kids. He enjoys reading, running, and football. He is a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
Mr. Marks is a graduate of Perry Meridian High School. He received his BS Secondary Education: Life Science from Ball State University and is currently taking graduate courses in Physics. He has taught for four years, two years at Indian Creek High School and two years at Greenwood High School. He currently teaches Integrated Chemistry and Physics and Pre-Biology courses at Greenwood.
Mr. Marks enjoys spending time with his wife, working on their house, and photography.
Ms. McNeil is recently retired after teaching elementary school and middle school/high school mathematics for 21 years in Indianapolis Public Schools and in the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana University in 1974.
Ms. McNeil has 2 sons, 1 grandson and twin granddaughters. She lives in the Greenwood area with her 2 long hair dachshunds and enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.
A native of Rushville, IN, Hillary is a Junior at Franklin College majoring in English and Spanish. She plans to pursue a Master's Degree in English upon graduation. She enjoys working with kids and lending a helping hand whenever needed.
Mrs. Wilson is from Shelbyville. After high school she attended Purdue University and earned her BA in Criminology/Criminal Justice. Eventually she went back to college and received her Elementary Education, Mild Intervention,and Intense Intervention certification. She taught for 4 years with Blue River Special Education Coop until they dissolved in 2010. For the past two years she has worked for Center Grover Middle School Central as a Special Education Assistant.
Mrs. Wilson has been married for 21 years and has 2 children. She enjoys reading, knitting, and working puzzles in her free time.
