Judy Miller

Executive Director

Ms. Miller takes pride in her personal skills when working with parents and students. Much of her career success has come from her caring, nurturing personality. Judy loves children and like so many other grandparents of this era, has been very actively involved with her five grandchildren for the past 17 years.

Judy states, "The ability to have such a significant role in changing the lives of children for the better, forever, is something I just had to get involved in."

Rae Konen

Director of Education

• Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Eastern Michigan University

Rae met the requirements for the Dean's list every term while at Eastern Michigan.

Rae is a dedicated mother who spends much of her spare time volunteering at the local elementary school and preschool. Rae's strengths include her enthusiasm for working with children, her knowledge of child development, and her ability to translate theory into action.

Sarah Boraks

Assistant Director/Certified Teacher

• Master of Arts in Teaching-Reading Specialist, Saginaw Valley State University, 2009
• Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education, Saginaw Valley State University, 2005
• Certified in Math, English and Early Childhood

Sarah is a preschool teacher at St. Mary in Port Huron. She believes that every child is capable of learning and achieving goals. She tries to meet the needs of each child on an individual level.

Steve Girodat

Assistant Director/Certified Teacher

• Master of Arts, Economics, Wayne State University, Expected 2011
• Bachelor of Arts, History, Adrian College, 2006
• Also certified in Economics, Social Studies, and Math


He believes in creating a lighthearted educational setting that allows for students to improve in necessary subject areas while feeling comfortable in a relaxed environment.

In addition to our administrative staff, we have all state-certified teachers on staff who have significant teaching experience and meet our all-inclusive Sylvan Macomb requirements. These instructors are all Sylvan certified, love to teach and are great at nuturing our Sylvan Macomb students!
