February is a special month at Sylvan Learning of Novi
February is a special month at Sylvan Learning in Novi. Every year the students have an opportunity to complete a pink heart that says: I love Sylvan because... The teachers and I are touched by their heartfelt responses, from "they give tokens" to "I feel smart now." At Sylvan, we love our students and their families because they believe in what we do. At Sylvan Learning of Novi, we know that school problems don't affect just the student; they affect the entire family. We strive to change those school problems to school successes for all of our students and their families! Happy Valentine's Day from Sylvan Learning of Novi.

In February, Sylvan Learning of Novi is also preparing for Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2. All of the students in our center are encouraged to pledge to read this month. For every book completed, the child receives a chance to win a Barnes and Noble gift card! The student with the most books read will also have a book donated in his/her name to the student's school library. To make the day extra sweet, we will serve birthday cake to all of those in attendance on March 3.
ACT Preparation is continuously running at Novi Sylvan!
There will be no winter/spring seminar this year; therefore, we have opened more ACT spots at the table during regular instruction hours! Our program includes content and strategies--a winning combination! Need to know more? Call the office at 248-344-1474.
Novi Students of the Month
At Sylvan Learning of Novi, we have many students who go above and beyond the expected in their programs. Because of their hard work, we have decided to name a student of the month from each level: elementary, middle, and high school. The students are nominated by their Sylvan teachers for good attendance, strong effort, and positive performance. Heather and I take the teachers' nominations and make the final choices in each category. The students have their names published on our website, email blast, and facebook page. They also receive a Target gift card. Congratulations to January's students of the month:
