Designed to improve writing skills, the program teaches the process approach to writing paragraphs, letters, and essays, while stressing the fundamentals of capitalization, punctuation, and sentence building. Editing skills are also sharpened.
Sylvan's custom-designed Algebra Program helps students to develop or enhance skills in patterns and functions, graphing, mathematical connections, problem solving, and reasoning. This program is designed for both beginning students and those requiring specific skill enrichment.
For students preparing for college or college entrance examinations, this
program provides strategies in math, verbal, reasoning, and critical thinking skills for SAT/ACT success. The program also focuses on effective test-taking strategies.
Sylvan's Advanced Reading Skills Program is designed for the on-level or above-level reader who wants to enhance his or her reading rate and comprehension.
Sylvan integrated &senior math provides high school math education to students in school districts that use an integrated math curriculum. Sylvan's integrated math education tutoring covers aspects of algebra II, geometry and trigonometry at every grade level.
