Scott is the executive director of the Davenport center.

Kelly McVietty

Lead Teacher

Kelly has worked for Sylvan since May 2008. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a specialization in Math. She enjoys Sylvan because she has the opportunity to work with a few students at a time and is able to provide them with skills to be successful. Outside of Sylvan, Kelly works as an aide for students with special needs and enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Brian Gray

Teacher

Brian has worked for Sylvan since September 2001. He has his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Western Illinois University. What Brian likes most about working at Sylvan is helping children understand complex math concepts. Outside of Sylvan Brian is working toward a degree in Web Design. He also enjoys spending time with family.

Krystle Gascoigne

Teacher

Krystle has been working at Sylvan since September 2010. She recieved her B.A. in Reading and Language Arts from St. Ambrose. She likes to read, travel and sing and dance. When she is not at Sylvan she is a reading teacher in the Moline School District.

Keegan Boyd

Teacher

Keegan has been with Sylvan since May 2001. She has her B.S. in Elementary Education with endorsements in Math, Science and Language Arts. What she likes most about working at Sylvan is getting to know each individual student. Outside of Sylvan Keegan enjoys spending time with frinds and family. She is currently also working as a substitute teacher.

Chris Heggen

Teacher

Chris has been with Sylvan since April 2011. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a Mathematics Minor from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. What he likes most about working at Sylvan is watching the children learn new things. Outside of Sylvan Chris works at the Rock Island Arsenal. He enjoys waterskiing and playing pool.

Ashley Felts

Teacher

Ashley has been with Sylvan since April 2011. She received her B.S. in Education from Western Illinois University. What she enjoys most at Sylvan is getting to work with all the great children! She loves getting to see them understand what is being taught. Outside of Sylvan Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, taking her children to the park and reading books to them.

Kristen has been with Sylvan since August 2011. She received her degree in Elementary Education, Reading, and English/Language Arts from the University of Northern Iowa. What her likes most about working at Sylvan is all the great children she gets to meet and work with. Outside of Sylvan Kristen is a substitute teacher in the Davenport School District.

Jenn has been with Sylvan since August 2011. She received her B.S. in Elementary and Music Education from Greenville College. She enjoys the friendly environment at Sylvan and getting to know the children while she teahes them new skills. She also enjoys playing video games, reading good books, and doing crafts. Outside of Sylvan she is an aide in the Davenport School District.

Amber Liniger

Teacher

Amber has been working for Sylvan since February 2011. The thing she likes most about working at Sylvan is getting to work one-on-one with the children and getting to know them. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Monmouth College with an English Minor. She enjoys reading, taking pictures, traveling and spending time with family and friends. When she is not at Sylvan Amber is a substitute teacher.
