Carrie has been with Sylvan since 2003. She enjoys working with students and seeing them gain confidence. She has worked at the Sylvan in Madison before opening the Baraboo Sylvan in 2005. Carrie has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. When she is not at Sylvan, she enjoys gardening, hiking, working outdoors and spending time with her family.

Diane Poe

Lead Instructor

I received a B.S. in Education from the University of Tennessee in 1970, and have never been far away from teaching in those forty years. I taught English to grades 7-10 in Memphis for 9 years, and upon moving to Wisconsin, continued teaching as a substitute. I joined the Sylvan Center in Baraboo in 2006. I enjoy the intimacy of the Sylvan method, where teacher and student face each other over a teaching table. I see our students leave the teaching floor with confident, happy smiles, and I know we’ve done our job.
