Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Amy Nielson
Center Director
Amy oversees all the facets of the learning center's operations. First and foremost, she is responsible for holding the center to the highest standards in the delivery of educational programs.
Hometown: Shoreview, MN
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Social Studies from Concordia College, Minnesota.
Work Experience: I was a classroom teacher (1st grade), a Substitute teacher for a variety of schools & then moved to my career at Sylvan Learning. I've been with Sylvan for 10 wonderful years!
Sylvan Certifications: Certified to teach all subjects.
Interesting Facts/Hobbies: I love spending time with my family and friends. Travel is my passion, so if I am not at Sylvan you can find me anywhere in the world...with my kids and husband!
Kelly D.
Director of Education
Kelly works to maintain all aspects of the center's educational operations. Her responsibilities include continual training of Sylvan teachers and staff, maintenance of student educational plans, and she works closely with students and parents.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Middle School Mathematics Education from St. Cloud State University
Work Experience: Substitute teacher for North Lakes Academy in Forest Lake, MN.
Sylvan Certifications: Certified to teach all subjects as well as Homework Support and ACT prep.
Interesting Facts/Hobbies: I enjoy being outdoors, skiing, fishing, traveling, and cooking.
Chrissy R.
Teacher
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Education.
Work Experience: I have been a substitute teacher in many differnt MN School Districts. I was also a youth pastor at a local church.
Sylvan Certifications: I am certified to teach reading, writing, math & study skills.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a Mathematics Major from St. Thomas. In addition I have a Masters of Education from St. Mary's.
Work Experience: I have been a teacher for Pine City, MN & Roseville, MN School Districts.
Sylvan Certifications: I am certified to teach all subjects as well as Homework Support for Math at the Middle to High School level.
Interesting Facts/Hobbies: I love spending time with my family outside; including camping and anything that keeps an energetic one year old entertained!
