Sylvan Math Essentials
Sylvan's Math Essentials Program provides students Pre-K through Pre-Algebra with specific instruction on basic computation skills, problem solving, measurement, graphing, equations, numeration, and how to become confident story problem solvers. The program addresses mastery as well as application of mathematical concepts preparing students for the higher level required high school coursework of Algebra I & II, Geometry and in some instances, Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus.

Sylvan's Study Skills Program is designed for students who perform at grade level but need effective study techniques, organizational skills, time management, and test-taking strategies. The program includes reading and listening skills as well as note-taking strategies. Students can take the entire program or pick and choose the areas that fit their needs and goals. Each section is 20 hours in duration.
Algebra I
Sylvan's custom-designed Algebra Program helps students to develop or enhance skills in patterns and functions, graphing, mathematical connections, problem-solving and reasoning. This program is designed for both beginning students and those requiring specific skill enrichment. Instruction is offered as a traditional Sylvan program which involves an assessment/individualized program or as strictly homework support.

Academic Reading
Designed for students 3rd grade and beyond, Sylvan's Academic Reading program focuses on the reading process which has its foundation in phonemic awareness, decoding skills, sight word recognition, vocabulary and comprehension development allowing students to become fluent readers with corresponding comprehension. Students develop both the basic skills and the higher level thinking skills needed for success in reading.
