Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
Ron opened the Butte Sylvan Learning Center in December 1993. He has over 41 years of teaching experience. Ron teaches and supervises math instruction, does math parent conferences and school contacts, and is responsible for the marketing and business operations of both the Butte and Helena centers.
Ron is a member of the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. He has been on the state board since 2004 and was elected in 2009 to be a Commissioner for NWAC. Besides golf, he loves spending time with his family.
Charlene has over 20 years of teaching experience.
She supervises all daily operations of the Helena center, including testing, and student/parent
conferences. Her responsibilities also include administration of educational programs and supervision of staff.
Kristel is responsible for the business activities of the center. She supervises all accounting functions, including billing statements and tuition plan payments. She manages the customer service program. Kristel provides information about Sylvan to interested parents. She is a Sylvan certified Test Administrator. She is the secretary for Butte Sunrise Kiwanis and also serves as chairperson for the Bring Up Grades (B.U.G.) program in six elementary schools in Butte. She has been on the board of the Butte Education Foundation since 2008. In 2009 Kristel became a member of L.E.A.D. (Leadership Education and Development) sponsored by the Butte Chamber of Commerce. Her passions include reading, scrapbooking, photography, and spending time with family!
Debby has been part of the Butte Sylvan team since 1996 and she says she has enjoyed every minute of it. She also teaches Religion, Spelling, and Art at Butte Central Junior High School. She loves the interaction with students, knowing that in some way she is making a difference in their lives.
Debby is the coordinator of Central Junior High Builder's Club and the instructor for Community Outreach. She is also a member of the MS Society, helping in the fundraising to find a cure.
Debby is married and has a beautiful daughter! She enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, taking rides with her family, and playing Fantasy Football.
Colleen has been a teacher at Butte Sylvan since 1996. "Because of the incredible staff and fantastic students, I have enjoyed every minute at Sylvan. It is an absolute delight to see the "light go on" for a child" she says. Colleen has been an English teacher at Butte High School since 1981 where she is currently the chairman of the English Department and Junior Class Advisor. Her greatest passion and joy in life is time spent with her six wonderful grandchildren.
Stacy and her family moved back to Butte in 2006. She joined us at Sylvan in August 2006. Stacy fills in at our center when we need a substitute. We are excited to have her as part of our team. She cares about her students and wants them all to do well in school, life and at Sylvan. Stacy is a detail person and is able to accomplish much with students at Sylvan.
We are excited to have Rachel on our team. She was hired at Sylvan in May of 2008. Rachel is a teacher who really cares about all her students. She wants the best from each and every one. Currently Rachel is a substitute teacher for the Butte School District. In 2009 Rachel was awarded the Outstanding Customer Service Award for the Northwestern region of Sylvan Learning Centers. She brightens the center with her warm and cheery smile.
Jineen is a loving teacher who praises her students for effort and wants each to succeed. She came to us in August of 2007.
Tom became a member of the Butte Sylvan team in November of 2008. He is a math teacher at Butte Central High School. Tom loves to teach kids math!
Stauna came to the Butte center in September 2010. She has been teaching at Ramsay Elementary since the fall of 2007. Stauna holds two Master of Education degrees and has traveled extensively as a corporate trainer in the hotel industry. She is currently interested in the Greely School neighborhood revitalization projects and enjoys book club and Bible study meetings. You'll find her involved with the Ramsay School Partners in Education, at the gym, or out walking.
