Randy Morrison

Center Director

Randy has a B.S. degree in Social Studies and Biology from the University of Great Falls and a M.A. Degree in Counseling and School Administration from MSU-Billings. Randy has spent 35 years in education as a teacher, counselor and as an administrator, with the last 18 years spent as a Principal and Associate Principal in Billings. Randy's hobbies include fly fishing, golfing and biking.

Jan Morrison

Director of Education

Jan has 14 years of elementary and middle school classroom teaching experience. Jan graduated from MSU-Billings with a degree in Elementary Education. Jan loves to water ski, downhill ski and cook. She has two daughters, Brienne and Lindsey.

Doug Casey

Instructor

Doug was born and raised outside of Atlanta, GA. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degreen in Social Science. He worked several summers at Canyon Village in Yellowstone National Park and he decided to move to Montana. He currently teaches at Chief Joseph Middle School. Doug is an avid outdoorsman where he enjoys skiing, fly fishing and backpacking. He also enjoys traveling and photography.

Bethany Christensen

Instructor

Bethany was born in Willmar, MN. She graduated from Dickinson High School, ND. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed, Child Development and Family Science from NDSU in Fargo. Bethany moved to Bozeman in August and treasures living in such a beautiful place. Bethany currently teaches at Sourdough Montessori. We are very pleased that Bethany is teaching at Sylvan and sharing her expertise with us.

Mike Comstock

Instructor

Mike has a B.S. in Computer Science from MSU-Bozeman. Mike has worked for several aerospace corporations, building flight simulators and designing avionics for fighter aircraft. Mike works with students in all math programs. His hobbies include playing music in his band called "Comstock Lode".

Elizabeth Fulton

Instructor

Elizabeth grew up in Tacoma, Washington. She atttended and graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a B.A. in Mathematics. She participated on the cross country and track teams and still had time to sing in the St. Olaf Choir. She then moved to Bozeman where she earned her M.S. in Mathematics from MSU. Aside from teaching, Elizabeth enjoys cooking. She also enjoys riding her bike. During the summer of 2006, she rode her bike from the Pacific Ocean in Washington to the Atlantic Ocean in Maine.

Jennifer Gross

Instructor

Jennifer received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from MSU-Bozeman and is a trained Montessori pre-school instructor. She has taught at a Montessori pre-school for the past 6 years. Jennifer enjoys hiking, teaching music and traveling.

Christina Haggerty

Instructor

Christina is a recent graduate of MSU-Bozeman with a B.S degree in Health Enhancement K-12 Education and a Coaching minor. Christina has a passion for teaching and watching them improve, accomplish and master new skills in the classroom.

Sue Hamilton

Instructor

Sue has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Auburn University, a Master of Science degree in Reading from MSU-Northern and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from MSU-Bozeman. She has 30 years of experience in teaching from pre-school administration to college teaching. Sue is the owner/operator of Heartland Individual and Family Coaching, a business devoted to working with clients who have family members with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Kelly Haskins

Instructor

Kelly has lived in Montana her whole life. She grew up in Billings and graduated from Billings Central High School. She attended Montana State University and received her degree in Elementary Education. Kelly had the fabulous opportunity to do her student teaching in Hawaii. Kelly is currently a teacher at Gallatin Gateway School and just finished her 2nd year. She is married and they inherited a dog, named Sampson. Outside of school, she enjoys golf, hiking and camping.

Kelly Massey

Instructor

Kelly is a Montana native from Helena. She graduated from MSU with a degree in History and a minor in English. She has taught at the Bridger Alternative School, Jefferson High School (Boulder, MT) and Highwood High School. During the 07-08 school year, Kelly taught English and Drama at Bozeman HS and assisted with their first musical (Fiddler on the Roof).

Taylor Matthews

Instructor

Taylor did her undergraduate work at UCLA graduating with a B.M. in Oboe Performance and a B.A. in German. She has worked closely with the Education Abroad program and has spent a year studying at the Georg-August-Universitaet in Goettingen, Germany. Afterwards she attended CSU-Northridge and received her teaching credentials. Taylor loves teaching and in her spare time enjoys music, sewing, painting and keeping up with her German.

Stephanie McBride-Bergantine

Instructor

Stephanie was born in Laramie, WY and moved to Bozeman when she was 6 years old. She grew up skiing, hiking, hunting, camping and having lots of fun with friends and family. She graduated from Pacific University in Portland, OR and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She had the opportunity to work in bilingual and Spanish speaking schools in the Portland area. She moved back to Bozeman to continue to have fun enjoying the outdoors.

Dianne Peterson

Instructor

Dianne has a B.S. degree in Education and Special Education from MSU-Billings. Dianne has been with the center since its opening. Dianne's experience includes teaching resource room students and adolescents in day treatment facilities. Dianne enjoys skiing, working out and reading. During the winter, Dianne lives in Arizona for two months.

Dan Rediske

Instructor

Dan was raised in Helena and graduated from Montana State University with a Secondary Broad Field Science degree and a minor in Biology. Dan enjoys the many outdoor activities that the Gallatin Valley has to offer. Dan and his new bride, Katie, reside in Bozeman.

Jennifer Shearouse

Instructor

Jennifer was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, but recently married and moved to Bozeman with her husband. After graduating from Augusta State University with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education, she taught 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. While teaching, she coached the dance/step team and helped with Student Council. Jennifer is enjoying the new season of her life as a wife and mother of two dogs. She enjoys being with family and friends, traveling and quality time with her husband and her "dogdren"--Copper and Cody. The way to her heart is with good Mexican food and being with the people she loves.

Christine Stucky

Instructor

Chris received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from MSU-Bozeman. Chris has been teaching at the Bozeman HS Math Lab for the past 6 years. Born in Thailand, Chris enjoys cooking Thai food, golfing, reading and most of all spending time with her husband and her 3 daughters.

Clarissa Werre

Instructor

Clarissa graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in General Science. Clarissa has spent time coaching and teaching in Vermont before moving to Montana. Originally from Minnesota, Clarissa moved to the east coast to train and race on the U.S. Biathlon team.
