It's ACT Time

The first question many people ask when getting ready for the ACT is "How important are test scores, really?" When you do the math, you'll see that admissions tests make up half of the final decision regarding who gets in to what school.  Sylvan's ACT Prep Program teaches not only test taking strategies students need to know in order to successfully navigate the ACT, we also reviews the content your student will face on the test.  Each student goes through a minimum of 20 instructional hours either in small groups or individually to ensure the best fit and to achieve the best results.  Contact our center at 847-282-3100 for more details.

We are very pleased to offer SylvanMathPrep.com. This is an innovative and valuable new online resource that includes instruction in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II and an excellent ACT/SAT review. The program contains 2,000 videos that are organized into 750 lessons which can be searched by keyword phrase or textbook page number.  The lessons are launched directly on the internet – there is no need for special software installation. We will provide user names/passwords unique to your school.

Sylvan Summer Kindergarten Prep

Is your child ready for Kindergarten?  Sylvan can help. 

The Sylvan Learning Center of Bannockburn is please to now offer a Preschool program for students getting ready to enter Kindergarten.  This Kinder Prep Program consists of 24 hours of flexibly scheduled instruction and is taught by certified teachers focusing on:

     - Concept & Sight Vocabulary
     - Phonemic Awareness
     - Book Handling & Print Awareness
     - Listening Comprehension
     - Numeration
     - Addition & Subtraction

All students will finish this program signed up for the Sylvan sponsored Book Adventure online reading incentive program so that they can continue to grow in their reading and comprehension skills.
