Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Keith Anzelmo
Center Director
Keith is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a B.A. degree in English Education and a minor in Psychology. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English or NCTE. Keith is an experienced Sylvan educator, having worked at several area locations since 2004, starting as an instructor and growing into the Center Director position. He also worked previously for the Special Education District of Lake County, Warren Township High School, and Zion-Benton Township High School. Keith is responsible for the overall operation of the Bannockburn center and subscribes to a basic everyday approach “to do what is in the best interest of our students.” This important educational philosophy also represents the primary mission of the Sylvan Learning Center of Bannockburn.
Erica Kruger
Director of Education
Erica holds an elementary education degree from Valparaiso University and worked in several teaching positions prior to joining Sylvan. She is an experienced Sylvan educator and most recently has worked in several Chicago area locations, beginning her Sylvan career as an instructor prior to being promoted to the Director of Education positon. Now working with parents and students in the Bannockburn location, Erica is responsible for leading the development of all academic programs and the recruitment, training and development of all teaching staff.

Staff Profile
Our Bannockburn teaching staff combines a commitment to the success of our students with years of Sylvan and classroom experience. Our tutors are all State of Illinois certified teachers with a bachelor's degree or higher. In fact, over 75% of our staff have advanced degrees in their fields. Their experience includes special education, reading, higher level math, foreign language, elementary, and secondary education. Our students benefit from their ability to address their individual concerns with dedication and expertise.
