Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals

- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best

Kristina Donnelly
Center Director
Kristina received her degree in Elementary Education from North Central College in 1998. After graduation, she taught elementary school in Maywood School District #89. Prior to Sylvan, she spent several years as a Sales Associate for textbook publishers, McDugal, Littell, and Prentice Hall.
Kristina has been an instructor, an after school program specialist, and currently is the Center Director for the South Elgin Sylvan Center.
Callie Masten
Director of Education
Callie received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. She earned her teaching certificate at the University of Texas in Arlington, Texas. She has 21 years of teaching experience in the public school system. Callie has been an instructor for Sylvan in Texas and Illinois. In 2002, she accepted the position of Director of Education in St. Charles. She transfered to the Alqonquin Sylvan Center in June of 2008. She was promoted to area Director of Education in June of 2009 and works in both the Algonquin and South Elgin centers.
Janet D Schneider
Executive Director
Janet received her undergraduate degree in elementary education/special education from Eastern Illinois University and her Masters in Education Administration from National-Louis University. She taught 12 years in the Elgin Public School System. She has been the Executive Director with Sylvan since 1988.
