I guess this will be her last class tonight.  I would like to thank you for all your support and setting my daughter up with compatible teachers, and giving her an experience that was extemely positive, when she really needed it.  I am grateful that you allowed her to bring her homework, and modify  your programs to suit her needs at the moment.
I believe that Sylvan of Woodridge, was a "safe" place for my daughter. where she could learn what she needed to learn, from teachers who were great and non threatening,  She came back out your doors with a smile on her face 99% of the time.  Casey's high school counselor said that he was extemely impressed by the steady upward trend of her grades, since sophomore year began.  I must give much credit to you and your teaching staff at Sylvan of Woodridge, for helping build a positive attitude, and helping her see she can be successful.

Thank you again for all you've done, and for welcoming her into your center.  I will make sure that she knows she can go back to Sylvan of Woodridge for help at any  time.

"I wanted to let you know how much self esteem I gained at Sylvan! I hadn't realized it until I began my math class again this year in school. This year I participate in class with more certainty. I went up to the board for the first time ever, and illustrated the problem and my equations were correct! I felt great! I am enjoying math this year, which is unbeleivable for me. It was the Best Christmas Gift I could have asked for!

"I want to thank you for all of the help in the past weeks in preparation for my last ACT test. On Christmas Eve, I received the results of the test, and was ecstatic to find out that I scored a 28! My subscores stayed strong, and I was most suprised to see I scored a 31 in reading. It was the best Christmas gift I could of asked for! I cannot wait to apply for the Presidential Scholarship at Quincy, in hopes of receiving full tuition.

I also want to extend my thanks to Peggy especially, for her great tutoring. I have acheived my goal in scoring above 27, and I am grateful for everyone who helped me out during my time at Sylvan. I hope you have a fantastic year, and I thank you again for all of your help."

Wonderfully Positive Center

Enriched My Education and my Mind

"I went to Sylvan in the summer because I wanted to take an exam at my college that would fulfill my math requirement. Before taking the exam I knew I needed a lot of help in basic/advanced math skills and preparing for the exam, which I could not use a calculator on. This may not seem difficult for some people, but the exam was meant to be challenging, and I have always struggled in math with or without a calculator. I was hopeful when I went into Sylvan, and when I met with the director for the first time he encouraged me and I left that day not just hopeful, but full of hope! The teachers I worked with were truly amazing all of them assured me that they were helping me to accomplish my goal. They didn’t just say it but it showed it in their full out commitment to help me to understand every lesson. For the first time I was learning more about math in the short time I spent at Sylvan than in all my years in school. I don’t know how the teachers did it, but I thank you. Unfortunately and fortunately I didn’t pass the exam, so I am taking the math class. However, I am able to show off what I’ve learned in my math class by answering math questions for the first time, and feel confident while doing it. I sit in the front row now and I have been getting A’s on my homework assignments, this is a miracle in itself, but an even bigger miracle is that I got an 86% on my first math test. I still hold on to the words my teachers spoke to me, specifically I would make mistakes on my positive and negative signs and one of my teachers would say “check your signs” all the time, and I have to admit I still hear this along with many more tips I picked up at Sylvan. The teachers and director sincerely enriched and blessed not only my education, but also my mind.
