The Urbana Blues, Brews, and BBQ's Festival
Sylvan of Champaign spent two amazing days at the festival this year! We got to paint tons of faces, gave out awesome Sylvan Tattoos, and played games--all for free! Thanks to all of you that came out to support us and the event. We look forward to next year!
Sylvan Essay Contest
Winner: Chelsea from Central High School. Congratulations!
Sylvan of Champaign is sponsoring an essay contest for high school students. The winner will receive a FREE College Prep Program valued at $3600. Sylvan's College Prep Program includes everything you need to be ready to go to college: ACT/SAT Prep, College Prep Writing, Advanced Reading Skills, and Sylvan Study Skills.
Entries must be received by Friday, June 12th, 2009 and will be judged Monday, June 15th, 2009. 4 Local celebs will be part of the judging panel. The winner will be announced at a special presentation ceremony. You can mail entries to the center, email entries, or drop them by. Please call the center at 355-0008 with any additional questions.

Toys For Troops
A huge thank you to all of our parents and students that donated to our Christmas Care Packages. We had enough items not only to fill boxes for our adopted service members, but to fill several other boxes for the Toys for Troops group!

Students and families gathered at Sylvan of Champaign to enjoy the reading event, Read Across America. Students had a blast sharing their favorite books, and participating in Dr. Seuess activities.
