Chris Tedder

Center Director

Chris was a 1987 graduate of Waterloo High School. She earned her degree at Southwestern Illinois College and went on to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She is proud to have worked with the Waterloo School district and Child's World Preschool program. Most recently, she managed a family owned local business. Chris believes education to be a priority in the lives of our youth and looks forward to helping students achieve only their BEST!

Kelly VanDeven

Director of Education

Kelly is a 2001 graduate of the Univ. of Kansas with a degree in Elementary and Middle Education, specializing in Math and Social Studies. Kelly taught 8th grade algebra and geometry for 2 years. Kelly started her journey with Sylvan as a teacher in 2004, became the Assistant Director of Education in 2005 and joined the Waterloo team as the Director of Education in 2007. Kelly finds witnessing the academic growth firsthand and getting to know each student as an individual to be very rewarding.

Audrey Hicks

Teacher/ACT Instructor

Audrey started teaching at Sylvan Learning Center in April 2007. She received her B.A. degree from Lake Forest College and her teaching certificate from SIU-E. Audrey states, "I am excited about working with the Sylvan students in such ideal surroundings with top-notch materials. It is true Sylvan makes learning fun, and I am glad to be a part of that."

Pam Stonich

Teacher

Pam joined the Sylvan Team in May 2007. She is graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she earned her B.S. in English (Secondary Education). Pam thinks working at Sylvan is a great experience because she likes meeting and working with many new students. In her spare time, Pam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and watching reality TV shows.

Lori Mollet

Teacher

Lori earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from SIUE in 1997. In 2003 She earned her Master's degree in Elementary Education from Maryville University. She has taught 1st grade for 7 years at Jefferson Elementary in St. Louis Mo. Prior to that, she taught Kindergarten for 2 years in Cahokia, Illinois. Lori states, she is excited about adding Sylvan to her list of educational experiences. In her free time Lori enjoys shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
