High School Tutoring Programs
Math
Sylvan Math Essentials
Created for all grades kindergarten and above, this program helps students develop skills such as numeration, addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, geometry and problem solving skills at each grade level.
Sylvan Advanced Math
SAM is a program intended for students looking for instruction in integrated math or Algebra. It also includes a homework component for students who need to develop skills but also keep up with day-to-day assignments.
Geometry
This program is for a student who is or soon will take a school geometry course and would like to catch up or get ahead.
Homework On-Demand

Reading
Sylvan Academic Reading
For students in grades two and up, this program offers instruction in Word Analysis, Vocabulary and Comprehension.
Advanced Reading Strategies
This advanced reading program works with students reading at or above the seventh grade level, and it helps to increase reading rate and efficiency.

Sylvan Academic Writing
Grammar, the writing process and techniques are instructed throughout this program, geared toward students in grades three and above.
College Prep Writing
For the college-bound student, this intensive writing program provides instruction and strategies for college applications and research writing including MLA documentation.

Currently, Homework Support is available from 6:00-8:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays for Basic Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science and Biology, Physical Science, Biology I and II, Honors Biology I and II, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Conceptual Physics, Honors Human Anatomy and Physiology, AP Physics and AP Chemistry. We would love to offer more science support hours, so call us today!
Test Prep
ACT/SAT Prep
This program is 24 hours in length and is usually taught in small groups starting around test dates. Students will have two opportunities to take practice tests and will be instructed on each tested area.

Basic Skills Test Preparation
The Basic Skills Review program helps students develop competency in core reading and math skills that can help many adults who need to improve competency in these skill areas. The program may be especially beneficial for adults who are preparing to take an assessment for a new vocation, such as policemen, firemen, postal workers, military, etc.
