High School Tutoring Programs
Math
Advanced Math - Algebra 1
Sylvan's custom-designed Algebra Program helps students to develop or enhance skills in patterns and functions, graphing, mathematical connections, problem solving, and reasoning. This program is designed for both beginning algebra students and those requiring specific skill enrichment.
Sylvan Summer Camp
This summer we are offering several fun and educational camps. We have Read Ahead for students that just finished 1st grade and younger, Camp Sum-Fun for grades 1-3, Write On! for grades 4-6 and 6-8, Multiply and Divide for grades 3-5, Get Organized (Study Skills) for grades 4-12, Solve This for grades 4-5 and 6-8, Fraction Action for grades 3-5 and 6-8. All camps are one week long, two hours per day (this does not include Read Ahead, which is one hour per day for two weeks). The cost for all camps is $295. Academic Writing
Designed to improve writing skills, the Sylvan Academic Writing program teaches the process approach to writing paragraphs, letters, and essays, while stressing the fundamentals of grammar and spelling. Editing skills are also sharpened. Writers learn to communicate their ideas forcefully, convincingly, and effectively.
