Tammy Noel

Executive Director

Tammy started her career at Sylvan in 1990 as a part-time instructor in Rockford, IL. After she married, she moved back to St. Louis and was the Director of Education and Center Director of the Creve Coeur center for 7 years. She has been a partner owner of 3 centers-Ballwin, Chesterfield and Carbondale, since 2001. Tammy has three children-Kaylee, Olivia and Seth. She loves helping parents find resources at Sylvan to help their children reach their fullest potential.

Jackie Joest

Center Educational Director

Jackie has a psychology degree from University of Missouri - Columbia. She received her teaching certification from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. She worked for the Special School District before coming to work at Sylvan. She likes to read, do crossword puzzles, watch movies, and get together with friends and spend time with her baby boy Jackson.

Abrea Da Lay

Director of Education

Abrea graduated from Maryville University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. She worked in the Rockwood School District before coming to Sylvan. Abrea enjoys going to the gym, crosstiching, and spending time with friends in her spare time.

Liz Heitman

Teacher

Liz received her B.S. in education from Washington University, her M.S. from Maryville University, and has 50+ graduate hours. She has taught both elementary and middle school for the public school system. Currently, she supervises student teachers at the University of Missouri - St. Louis and teaches at Sylvan. Liz enjoys bridge, theatre, symphony, and dinner out.

Sarah Wilson

Teacher

Sarah received her elementary education degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has been working for Sylvan since 2005. She has five kids ages newborn to six. Sarah enjoys reading, biking, and swimming.

Neal McCluggage

Teacher

Neal has been working at Sylvan for nearly ten years. He loves working with the kids and in his spare time loves to dance, karaoke, and knit.

Andy Perry

Teacher

Andy has a Bachelor of Science in Education and is currently working on a master's degree in math curriculum. He is certified in middle and high school math and has been teaching for five years. He is currently working at Wright City High School. Andy has been married for three years and has a two year old son. His hobbies include fishing, swimming, water skiing, playing cards, and watching movies.

Rachel Haberstroh

Teacher

Rachel has been working at Sylvan since 2008 as both a teacher and assessment administrator. She also works as a paraprofessional. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys cross country running, logic puzzles, and crochet.

Carrie Haberstroh

Teacher

Carrie graduated from Truman State University in 2004 with her BA in History and received her teacher certification in Social Science and special education. She is currently working on her masters in secondary education at UMSL.
