Tammy started here career at Sylvan in 1991 as a part-time instructor in Rockford, IL. She moved back to St. Louis in 1993 after getting married and was a Director of Education and Center Director of the Creve Coeur center for 7 years. She has been a partner owner of 3 centers including Ballwin, Carbondale and Chesterfield since 2001. Tammy has a BS in Mathematics and Secondary Education, as well as a BA in Psychology. She has 3 children-Kaylee, Olivia & Seth.
Melissa received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University. Before joining the Sylvan team, she was a substitute teacher for many districts, she taught Early Childhood through fifth grade. She worked first as a teacher for the Sylvan in Fenton and then became the Assitant Director of Education before transferring to Ballwin. She enjoys spending time with her 3 children, her husband, and her dogs. She loves the outdoors and is very involved in her Church.
William received his B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma Baptist University. He started his career by teaching at Sylvan. He has been with Sylvan for two years. William enjoys reading as well as playing soccer, golf,and his Wii.
Michelle received her B.S. in Elementary Education from BYU. She taught one year of fifth grade out of state and has been a sixth grade aide in Missouri. When Michelle is not at Sylvan, she is busy scrapbooking, reading, and planning her up-coming wedding.
Judy received her B.S. in Elementary Education and her M.Ed. in Library Science. She taught in the classroom for twelve years before working at her current position as a school librarian (she has been a school librarian for six). Outside of Sylvan and working as a librarian, Judy likes gardening and dancing.
Michelle received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Michelle has taught Fluid Mechanics Lab for Michigan State University before coming to Sylvan. Some of Michelle's hobbies include reading, cycling, hiking, writing, and watching movies.
Susan received her B.A. in Education from Washington University. She received her M.Ed. in reading from Webster University. She has forty-five additional hours in reading, social studies, and math. She taught for thirty-five years, substitute taught for four, and worked as a reading instructor for five. Susan enjoys making and collecting jewlery as well as reading and being around children.
Jamie received her B.A in English and a minor in Journalism and Secondary Education from Middle Tennessee State University. She is currently a substitute teacher for Rockwood. She loves teaching because each day is different. Her hobbies include reading and traveling to see old friends. She is currently planning her upcoming wedding as well.
Mike received his B.S. in Applied Math from UMR. He is currently working on his M.Ed. at UMSL. Mike has been tutoring since he was thirteen. He ran upper level courses in Algebra - Partial Differential Equations. Mike is a substitute teacher in St. Charles. When he is not working, Mike plays the guitar and video games. He also spends a lot of time at the gym, plays cards with his friends, and reads every evening.
