Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
- Pinpoint your child’s learning needs using the Sylvan Skills Assessment®
- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding

Tricia C.
Teacher
Tricia graduated from Washington University with a B.A. in Education. She also earned a M.A. in Teaching from Webster University. Tricia currently works for the Special School District.
She loves to exercise and is a cheerleader for the St. Louis Rams.
Sarah K.
Teacher
Sarah graduated from Webster University with a B.A. in Education and currently works with pre-schoolers in the St. Louis Public School District.
She has been working with children since she was 18. Her favorite thing to do is "travel." Her favorite trip so far has been her trip to Italy!
Chris W.
Classroom Assistant and Teacher
Chris graduated from St. Louis University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and currently works at St. John the Baptist school.
She is a huge Harry Potter fan and has recently sunk her teeth into the Twilight books.
Chris has been a Sylvan tutor for 12 years!

Allan teaches for Confluence Academy. He has his BA in Elementary Education from Harris Stowe University and has been teaching for 10 years.
His favorite thing to do is...sing!
His favorite thing to eat is...catfish!
His favorite place to visit is...Cancun!
Caitlin B
Teacher
Caitlin has her BS in Elementary Education from Missouri State. She is currently a teaching asst at Craig Elementary.
Her favorite thing to do is watch baseball and stay active. Her favorite place to visit is St Petersburg, Florida.
Erin B
Teacher
Erin has her BS in Secondary Education and a BA in English. She is currently a teacher at Oakville Senior High and has been a Sylvan tutor for 3 years. She also teaches our ACT prep classes.
Her favorite things to do are dance (ballet), read and go fishing! Her favorite place to visit is her family's farm. She has 2 guinea pigs named Pancake and Waffle.
Grace A
Teacher
Grace has her BS in Elementary Education from Missouri Baptist. She currently teaches elementary school.
A fun fact about Grace is that she also has been teaching dance to students of all ages for 15 years. She loves to tap dance and belongs to a tap group, the Rhythm Queens!
Jessica R
Teacher
Jessica has a BS in Elementary Education fron Fontbonne University. During college she spent a semester in London studying at their Imperial College.
She currently works for the Special School District. Her favorite thing to do is to go to Forest Park.
Laura A
Center Assistant and Teacher
Laura obtained her BA in Early Childhood Education from Webster University. She taught for four years before joining Sylvan.
Her favorite things to do include traveling, playing with her 17 month old daughter and going on family excursions.
Laura also has a puggle named Emelia!

Teacher
Monica has her BS in Elementary Education from University of Missouri - St Louis. She has been a teacher in St Louis schools since 2004.
In her free time Monica enjoys oil painting. She started as a Sylvan tutor in 2003.

Teacher
Sheila has her BS in Elementary Education from University of Missouri-Columbia. She has been teaching in St Louis schools and with Sylvan since 1997.
