"Our son Alex was failing every class from 6th grade through 8th grade and we even had him repeat 7th grade to see if that would help him and his learning. Nothing was working and his self-esteem was getting lower and lower each day. "Our daughter has struggled with school since day one. Among other things, we have tried summer school and private tutors, with no visible results. Her grades remained low. This last summer, at the end of her seventh grade we started at the Sylvan Learning Center in Fremont. She enjoyed it from the start.
