"I wanted to tell you how pleased I have been with Brody's progress with Sylvan's help. Brody started the 3rd grade reading at an early first grade level according to his school's testing. He is an extremely bright child with a large vocabulary but he couldn't sound out words or sight-read a lot of small words. He was frustrated and getting into trouble at school due to that frustration.
Brody has been attending Sylvan for three months now and his progress in sincerely amazing. In tests performed at the beginning of the school year he could read 10 words per minute and he could sound out 63 third grade words. Tests performed at the end of the first quarter showed that he is now reading at a rate of 26 words per minutes, he was able to sound out 95 third grade words and he has jumped to read at the second grade level. A whole grade level in three months!!! I'm absolutely thrilled!
Brody's whole attitude has change toward school and reading. He is excited about going to Sylvan and doesn't want to miss a session. He walks to school with a purpose and goes right to his classroom instead on finding excuses to stay in the car or talk to other people.

"My son Austin has been attending the Sylvan Learning Center for less than 1 year. He is attending the reading program. The time he has been attending the center has changed Austin in so many ways, he has improved his grades all together...his report card was amazing. Austin is now completing his school work and reading books. Before he attended the program, Austin refused to read or even pick up a book. The other night was kinda amazing and funny, Austin asked if he could get $0.50 from me. I asked, "What do you need it for?" He said, "I want to buy a newspaper." He walked in to the store and came back with a newspaper. He sat down and began to read the paper. I want to thank the staff and the teachers for all their time that they have put towards my child! Sylvan makes a big difference in a child's life."
