Ace it! Tutoring is currently seeking:
Curriculum will range from our own Sylvan programs to different prep subjects. Tutors need to be available to commit to teaching all day from January to April in some cases (depending on the length of the contract with the school).
As a Teacher's Assisant we will rely on you to obtain and file teaching materials for instruction in our center. You will ensure smooth instruction period transitions, monitor the in-house supply store and maintain center order and cleanliness. As an employee in our center you handle a variety of clerical tasks to help meet our student’s needs such as reception, filing, and copying as well.
Requires knowledge of basic office equipment and effective problem-solving and communications skills. You must have solid customer service skills, & detail orientation skills plus the ability to lift 5-10 lbs.

We're seeking dedicated part time teachers and instructors to give students the help they need. You’ll work with groups of no more than 3 students, using prepared lesson plans. You will be part of a team that monitors and guides the success of each and every student.
Specific subject areas include:
As a successful Director of Education, you will champion the Sylvan developed curriculum, manage and ensure the quality of the education standards and teaching staff as well as grow the business in your center. You will keep Mom & Dad informed on program progress and make recommendations to alter program prescriptions or offer additional programs. As Director of Education, you will select, train & motivate all certified instructors, teachers and educational staff, contribute to center profitability by controlling the labor budget, oversee staff for all educational policies and procedures, and partner with the Center Director to run operations. You will administer Sylvan Skills Assessments, write and recommend goal-based programs for Sylvan Students as well as monitor programs for performance, establish relationships and communications with students’ teachers for insights on school progress, and create a positive learning environment during all phases of the instructional program.
We require:
As a Center Director, you will manage the day-to-day operations of a Sylvan Learning Center, including responsibility over P&L controls, hiring staff, and optimizing the sales process, the curriculum delivery, and the marketing activities to schools and your surrounding community. You will direct the sales process of new and potential enrollments, monitor and track center performance, revenues, expenses, and fee collection as well as establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations. As Center Director, you will hire, train, and manage center employees, lead center staff meetings with all full-time employees; motivate and continually develop center staff, and demonstrate a high level of staff morale and spirit.
