Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals

- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best

Angela Getz
Center Director
Angela is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She will also have her Masters of Business Administration in December 2009. Angela is also certified to teach Elementary grades 2-6th. In her free time, she enjoys church events, friends and family and completing school. At Sylvan, she enjoys working with the other staff members and watching the students confidence grow.
Ashley Biggs
Instructor
Ashley is a graduate of Texas Women’s University where she earned a degree in Education. She is also certified to teach Early Childhood-4th. In her free time, Ashley enjoys shopping, visiting family and volunteering. At Sylvan, she enjoys working with the staff and watching the students grow.
Michelle Johnson
Instructor
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She is also certified to teach all Elementary grades. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, running and yoga. At Sylvan, watching how well the students learn skills when working in individualized small groups.
Glen Turk
Instructor
Glen is a graduate of Ball State University in Munice, IN where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. He is also certified to teach History. In his free time, Glen enjoys golf and spending time with his sons. At Sylvan, he enjoys working with the students.
Greg Dieterich
Instructor
Greg is a graduate of Baylor University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts, he is currently working on his second degree in Mathematics. In his free time, he enjoys science, music, bowling and volleyball. At Sylvan, Greg enjoys the challenge of teaching different students at different levels.
Celia Carey
Instructor
Celia is a graduate of Hampton University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is currently working on her certification for K-12 Special Education. In her free time, Celia enjoys reading books and writing. At Sylvan, she loves the morale, everyone is always in good spirits!
Brad Malloon
Instructor
Bradley is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies. He is also certified to teach ELAR grades 8-12. In his free time, Bradley enjoys reading, staying current with news and education practices and professional football. At Sylvan, he enjoys when children have that moment of illumination after working on a concept.
Sondra Beavers
Instructor
Sondra is a graduate of Midwestern State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She is also certified to teach K-8 and Early Childhood. In her free time, Sondra enjoys spending time with family and friends and shopping. At Sylvan, she enjoys interacting with the children.
Carrie Bolender
Instructor
Carrie is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. She also holds teaching certifications in Standard Classroom Teaching. In her free time, she enjoys working with others to help them by volunteering and being a reservist in the military. At Sylvan, Carrie enjoys working with the students and other instructors.
Angie Boysen
Instructor
Angie is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She is also certified to teach EC-4th and Special Ed EC-12th. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, spending time with family and scrapbooking.
Andrea Torres
Instructor
Andrea is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is also certified to teach EC-4th Generalist and ESL Supplementation. In her free time, Andrea enjoys reading, photography and drawing. At Sylvan, she enjoys helping students gain knowledge and boost their self esteem.
Traci Crosby
Instructor
Traci is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is also certified to teach Early Childhood-4th grade. In her free time, Traci enjoys watching football and spending time with her family. At Sylvan, she enjoys seeing the look of accomplishment on the students faces when they have learned and completed each skill.
