Sr.High Math & Science Tutors: 2011/12 School Year
Sylvan Southlake is seeking 4 upper level Math and Science tutors to teach Calc/Trig, Alg 1,2,3, Geometry, and/or Chemistry/Biology after school from 4-8pm Monday through Thursday. This job would be your choice of 5-20 hours per week starting in immediately. Paid training. MUST demonstrate upper level Math or Science ability by taking a skills test with our Lead Math Director. This is NOT a job where you will be able to "think about the answer and look it up". You must KNOW MATH and/or Science and it needs to be as natural to you as breathing.... You MUST have character references and demonstrated/proven ability to TEACH and connect with students.

As a Sylvan tutor, your primary responsibilities are: Teaching. Motivating. Connecting with your students. You will be trained on the Sylvan methods including our motivational system and safety/customer service standards, and given the tools to use your math/science skills in a homework support and test prep setting.
As a successful Tutor, you will: Deliver Quality Education
· Teach using Sylvan based programs
· Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials · Reward students for completed assignments
· Evaluate and document student progress
· Communicate student needs to the center manager

Seeking Early Elementary *(gr K-3), Reading (4-12), Math (K-12) and Elementary Writing (*gr 4-6) tutors to teach at our Southlake Center for a term of no less than one year. Sylvan Learning Center in Southlake Town Square is looking for a part time Receptionist/Office Support Staff member who is available for a one year committment or more.
Must be able to work 12-8 Monday through Thursday, Friday 2-6 and Sunday 2:00-4:30.
