Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Kathy Stearns

I am from Abilene, Texas. I graduated from Hardin Simmons University with a BBA in Accounting. My first career was in accounting, public and corporate. My family infulenced my decision to join Sylvan in 2008. (My daughter, Dawn, is a special education teacher, and my sister, Cindy, and my brother-in--law, Mike, own Sylvan centers in Abilene and Lubbock.) I truly enjoy working with our students and witnessing their success! My hobby is keeping tropical fish, quite relaxing.
Angie Vaughn

I have a BS in Elementary Education and am ESL certified. I graduated from MSU and have been teaching since 2003. I currently teach kindergarten at Ben Milam Elementary. I started working at Sylvan in 2006 and teach beginning and academic reading, math essentials, writing, and study skills. Right now I am working on my Master's Degree in private counseling at MSU.
Cindy Miller

I have a BBA and BSE from MSU. I started teaching in 1991 and am currently teaching at Fowler Elementary. I have worked at Sylvan here in Wichita Falls since 2004, and I teach math, beginning and academic reading, and study skills.
Denise McClung

I am originally from New York, but I have lived in Texas for 30 years. I have a BA from MSU, and I have been a teacher since 1986. I am a Junior High teacher at McNiel. I started working at Sylvan in 2009, and I teach academic and beginning reading, SAT, and GRE prep. I have one son who is in the Army and is currently posted at Ft. Bliss in El Paso. He is recently married, and he is adopting the role of "Daddy" to his wife's two-year-old twins!

I am originally from Pennsylvania. I have a BS in secondary education from Penn State University, and have been teaching since 2008. I have been working at Sylvan since 2010 and teach beginning reading, academic reading, and math essentials.
Donna Navarro

I started teaching in 1990. I have a business degree, and an elementary education degree from MSU. I also teach at Sam Houston Elementary. I have been teaching at Sylvan since 2003 and I teach math, beginning and academic reading, study skills, and writing.
Lee Seman

I am originally from Albuquerque, NM. I have a BS in mathematics from West Texas State University, which is now West Texas A&M. I've been teaching since 1987 and am currently teaching at Burkburnett High School. I started teaching at Sylvan in 2006, and I teach math, advanced math, homework support, and SAT math prep. I'm a rabid Dallas Stars fan!
Linda Gill

I am from England and have been working as a teacher at Sylvan since 2000. I have a degree in Elementary Education from MSU and have been a teacher since 1986. I am now an elementary school teacher at Sam Houston. I teach advanced reading and math here at Sylvan.
Jared Johnston

I was born in Wertsberg, Germany. I have been living in Wichita Falls since I was three, and I got my degrees from Wayland Baptist University and Midwestern State University. I have a Masters in Education and a BA in History. I teach reading and math at Sylvan, and I've been a teacher since 2006.
Carolyn Kuliska

I am from the Gulf Coast area, and for many years I lived in Mobile, Alabama. I have a BS in English and special education from MSU. I have been a teacher since 1989. I started working at Sylvan in 2007 and I teach beginning and academic reading and math. I also teach country western dance (not at Sylvan, of course!), and I enjoy camping and playing the piano.
