Lynn Langston and Jan Koenig
Franchise Co-Owners
Lynn and Jan are married and are the owners of four Sylvan Centers in the Houston area. Lynn grew up in Texas and received a B.S. from UT Austin. Jan grew up in Ohio, earned a B.S. from Georgia Tech, and then went on to attain an MBA from Harvard in 1978. Lynn and Jan have been married for 28 years and have three children ranging in age from 9 to 21. They opened their first Sylvan Center in 2003. All three of their children have benefited from Sylvan's services.
Vanessa Feldschau
Executive Director
Vanessa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. She obtained a Master's in Education from the University of Houston while teaching in Aldine ISD. Vanessa joined Sylvan in 2003 as teacher at the Pearland location and became the Center Director in August 2005. In 2007, Vanessa was named the Center Director of the Year among 1,100 centers throughout North America. In 2008, Vanessa became the Executive Director of four Sylvan centers.
Leah Cooley
Director of Education
Leah graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 1995. She received a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in English. She received her teaching certification and taught Language Arts prior to joining the Sylvan team. She has been with Sylvan for 3 years. She began as an instructor at the Pearland Center and a few months later became the Director of Education. Leah just purchased a new home and spends all of her free time remodeling.
Pat Sneed
Test Administrator
Pat joined the Sylvan family in 2006 as a teacher and test administrator. She graduated with a BA and Master's degree in Elementary Education from East Texas State University. Pat is a hands-on grandmother and adores her three granddaughters. In her spare time, she cross-stitches and quilts.
