Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Bruce H Powell
Director of Operations
Bruce is a math person! He has a degree in math
from Lamar University. Bruce received his secondary teacher certification from Stephen F. Austin He joined the Sylvan team as an instructor in 1992 and became a Director in 1993.
Doris Gary
Senior Instructor/Progress Manager
Doris is a homebound teacher during the day and moonlights with Sylvan every night. She has been here since 1995 and works great with our highschool and middle school students.
Linda Hearn
Senior Instructor
Linda has seventeen years experience in the public school system and has been with Sylvan for six years. She is certified in elementary education and special education. She does a great job with our little ones!
Debbie M Duke
Director of Education
Debbie recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Elementary Education, Reading, English, and Science. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Mid-Management. She has been with Sylvan since 1999.
