Success Story"We enrolled my grandson in Sylvan at the beginning of his kindergarten year. Confidence and self-esteem have completed changed"I have a beautiful, intelligent granddaughter, who by the end of first grade could only read at kindergarten level. This made her have an aversion to school. She wrote her letters and numbers backwards and was having extreme difficulty. Her self-esteem was devastated because she had such a hard time in school. We enrolled Josie in Sylvan Learning Center the last week of June 201. What a miracle that as been! Josie is now reading at second grade level. She as her teacher put it is a totally different child than when school started this past fall. She has so much more confidence and regained her self-esteem. She enjoys school now and Sylvan has awakened her potential. Just a short time ago, Josie couldn’t read the instructions and would just sit afraid to ask questions, fearing bringing her unwanted attention, We were about to start sitting in class with her, to make sure she understood the instructions written on the board. However, all at once Josie seemed to “get it” and just took off with her reading and told us she didn’t need us to sit with her.
