Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals

Sue Ann Pitts
Executive Director
Sue Ann is a life-long educator for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a BS in Elementary Education, a specialization in Early Childhood and minor in Spanish. She has written Kindergarten curriculum for local school districts and presented educational workshops. Sue Ann trained at Neuhaus in Houston, Texas and taught dyslexic children in alphabetic phonics. She has been a franchisee for Sylvan for 10 years, oversees the daily operations of the Centers in Corpus Christi, Laredo, and Victoria, dedicated to helping every child succeed. Sue Ann enjoys seeing self worth, self esteem and self confidence improve amongst Sylvan students.
Patty Zapalac
Regional Director/Center Director
Patty has been an educator for 30 years as a teacher, librarian, and assistant principal; responsible for student growth, wrote curriculum for local school district, presented educational workshops, purchased and managed circulation of library books, supervision and training of staff, oversaw everyday operations of the school, and developed community outreach. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Elementary Education, graduate hours at Abilene Christian College, and graduate of University of Sewanee in Theology. Patty is dedicated to children and families as they grow and progress at Sylvan.
