Holiday Closures
We are only closed on these dates:
November 26th
December 24th & 25th
December 31st & January 1st
Make-ups are required for missed classes. Please let us know if you will be missing any additional days due to the holidays.
Weather Related Absences
October 2009-Hard to believe that we've already had our first snow storm of the season. Here is how we handle things at Sylvan. We do not follow the schools-just becuase they have a snow day doesn't mean we will. If we decide to close we will be on the television listings and we will change our voicemail. You can always call the center to see if we are open. We will also try our best to call you personally to confirm that we are closed and the reschedule your child's appointment.
Calling all high schoolers!
2009/2010 School Year - SAT and ACT tests are on the horizon for juniors and seniors. We have a great College Prep program at Sylvan of Denver. As with all of our programs your student will take an assessment, this test is different because it is a practice SAT/ACT. We use it to individualize the prep for them. They can focus on verbal, math or both areas. The program is 32 hours in length on average and students usually come twice a week for 2 hours. We have several of our great tutors up and ready to prepare your child for the next step in their lives. See a director for details!
No Child Left Behind
Did you know that your child may be eligible for free tutoring through Denver Public Schools? If your child currently attends a school that did not make Adequate Yearly Progress on their CSAPs they may qualify for this great opportunity. Sylvan is a statewide provider of after school supplemental education services and we look forward to working with your family. There are two ways to go about finding out if you may qualify-ask us at Sylvan or call your child's principal TODAY!
