Jim grew up in Pennsylvania, received his B.A. from the University of Delaware in Anthropology, History, and Foreign Languages and Literature (Greek and Latin), and then moved to Tallahassee, FL, to work on his M.A. in Classical Archaeology at the Florida State University. He moved to Boulder in April of 2008 and has worked with Sylvan since December 2008. Jim has experience working with students from kindergarten through college; included among his favorites were the courses of 50 college students that he taught at FSU and his counseling and teaching at PASS camp, the Pioneer Athletic Super Summer sports camp, at the University of Denver this past summer.
Fun Factoids: In high school, Jim played the trumpet in a band that toured 5 European countries over 17 days. Also, he dug at an archaeological site in Italy for two summers while at FSU, helping to uncover an Etruscan sanctuary.

Work Experience: 22 years with Sylvan in Tulsa, OK. Also taught 1st grade in Westerly, RI.
Interesting facts: She particpated in the Iditarod 2005 where she rode 11 miles in a dog sled with a Norwegian Musher! She also took motorcycle lessons at the age of 50 and recently fed a trained wolf with a biscuit held between her teeth!
Dru is originally from Houston, Texas. He has a Master's degree in Philosophy and Religion, and his teaching certificate is in Critical Thinking and Logic.
Dru began his career with Sylvan in California as an Associate Director of Education. He enjoys teaching a variety of Sylvan programs from Beginning Reading to ACT and SAT test prep. His hobbies include Reading, Writing, Painting, Photography, Hiking, Composing electronic music, learning foreign languages, and caffeine.

Education: University of Illinois, Ph.D in Astronomy and Philosophy. B.S. in Electrical Engineering
Work Experience: Various jobs in Astronomy, Aerospace, Electricity, Natural Gas Renewable Energy, and International Development
Interesting facts: Bill has traveled to Tibet 11 times (soon to be 12) to lead humanitarian projects in health care, education, and solar electricity!
Hometown: Bristol, PA.
Education: Masters of Education in reading and LA.
Work Experience: 5 years with Sylvan in PA. and CO. Over 20 years experience teaching 4th-7th grades.
Interesting facts: Robin loves Italian food, fly fishing, golf, skiing, and tennis. Robin has also swam with dolphins and enjoys scuba diving. Her goal is to learn spanish in the next 5 years!
Katie grew up in southern California and moved to Boulder about three years ago. She attends the University of Colorado and loves the outdoors. Some of her favorite things include music, Italian food, and math.
Michelle is originally from New Jersey and graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education and minor in Psychology. She started with Sylvan in North Carolina before she moved to Florida where she was a third grade teacher for a year. Michelle moved to Boulder this past August for the outdoor activities and new experience. She has been working at Sylvan as an instructor and program coordinator and loves the people she works with as well as getting to know all the students!
