The Glendale Sylvan Learning Center helps students learn how to become self-motivated, independent, and most importantly approach school, as well as life, with confidence. Our tutoring programs are available both when school is in session, as well as during the summer with additional instructional hours. We are constantly looking for new ways for Glendale Sylvan to better help students achieve success. Here, we update you on the latest news, contests, and seasonal offers released by our local center.
State Approved SES Provider
Sylvan Learning Center of Glendale is authorized to serve students in select areas with supplemental educational services (SES) through the No Child Left behind Act. Our curriculum for this service includes both reading and math.
In order to be eligible for the free tutoring services in the state of California, your child must attend an Authorized Title One school and be eligible for free or reduced lunch. If you think your child may be eligible for SES, it is imperative that you contact the guidance office immediately upon enrollment to register them for the SES program.
UCLA Bruins Kids Club
Sylvan Learning Center is working to help the UCLA Bruins Kids Club encourage kids to become more involved in their community. We are currently offering a free assessment to families who are members of this program. To redeem this diagnostic, call us today!
Confidence For The Test Ahead (GED, ASVAB etc)
Did you know that Sylvan offers test preparation programs to help prepare for tests such as the GED and the ASVAB? Our Basic Skills Review program helps students and adult learners develop competency in core reading and math skills. The program may be especially beneficial for adults who are preparing to take the General Educational Development (GED) test, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)or an assessment for a new vocation, such as policeman, fireman, postal workers or other service organization.
