In the Community
The Sylvan Learning Center of Studio City is dedicated to our community. We enjoy being active in the Studio City area and have worked with local businesses, schools, and community groups. Engagement in our community is a key way for us to promote the importance of learning and education. We believe that we can accomplish a great deal if we work together with our Studio City area friends and neighbors. We had a blast at the Kester World Music and Art Festival!
Sylvan was excited to host a booth this year at Kester Avenue Elementary School's 2nd annual World Music and Art Festival on April 30th, 2011.
Families had a great time listening to music, making arts and crafts, playing games, and meeting members of the Sherman Oaks community. We can't wait to see what fun activities will be in store at next year's festival!
Sylvan is a first time participant at the LA Times Festival of Books!
For the first time, Sylvan had a booth at the 2010 LA Times
Festival of Books at UCLA April 24th-25th. We had a blast
meeting some of the 130,000 book festival attendees!
Those who visited our Sylvan booth got the chance to spin
our prize wheel and enter our raffle to win a free Flip
camera!
Read Across America Day
Thank you for the warm welcome from Bassett St. Elementary and Lankershim Elementary! We had so much fun reading our favorite books to students who love to learn! We were thrilled to be a part of your special celebrations!
