Sylvan Success Story
"To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to take a minute to share our Sylvan Success Story. My son Adam was a good student but always a late bloomer. It seemed that at every conference (K-2) he was always on the edge of being retained. Usually by the last report card he had done enough to just make promotion standards. He always knew that he was on the edge of retention.
One thing has changed though; he is no longer receiving reports of possible retention at his conferences. Adam has had the opportunity to be involved with Sylvan. He progressed from the Beginning Reading program to the Academic Reading program. He also took time to work in the Math and Writing programs. Each program has helped him to be better prepared in school and has given him the extra instruction time needed to master numerous skills. (I know each program benefited him tremendously but I must say that I have really been impressed with the writing program. Learning the process of writing a good essay is a skill that he will need in the years to come and is a challenge to adequately cover at home.)
This success has taken a commitment of at least twice a week for over 2 years. It was challenging at times but we believe the results have been well worth it. Our interaction with all of the staff at Sylvan has always been very positive and very professional. Adam always comes out of Sylvan happy.
Sylvan, especially those run by the Dyer family are an asset to our community and the education of any student that has the privilege to attend there.
Sincerely, Scott and Catherine D."
