I was born and raised in Bakersfield and attended local schools. I attended Bakersfield College earning an Associate of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts from CSUB, and Master of Arts in Public Administation. I worked for the Bakersfield City School District for over 15 years and consider education to be very important. When not at Sylvan, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

A cum laude graduate from the University of California, Irvine with roots here in the central valley, I knew from a young age that my life’s work would be helping others. Working at Sylvan has allowed me to do just that. Having the opportunity to observe students realizing and reaching their fullest potential on a daily basis is extremely rewarding.

While gowing up in the outlying area of Kern County, I always envisioned myself entering into the education field. Working at Sylvan has provided me with the opportunity to see students achieve academic growth and build self-confidence, which they translate into their everyday lives. Seeing this growth has provided me with a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. My educational experience includes earning a CA Multiple Subject Credential from Point Loma, a B.A. from CSUB (Sociology), and an A.A. from Bakersfield College (American Sign Language). When not working at Sylvan, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter.
