Gale came to Sylvan in 2007 from the private non-profit sector having coordinated and taught business, economic and carreer education programs throughout school districts in five central valley counties--involving as many as 10,000 students annually. Gale is committed to providing quality services and to making a positive difference in the lives of students and families served through continuing eduation.
Erwin has 10 years of teaching experience and has been part of our team for 7 years. He has SDC Credentials and teaches Special Education. At our center, Erwin teaches Math Essentials, Academic Reading, and Spanish, but Math is his favorite subject.
Cheryl joined our center 3 years ago. She has 11 years of teaching experience, Multiple Subject and Special Education Credentials, and a Masters in Special Education. She loves to hear her students say, "Now I get it!"
Bonnie has a Bachelor's degree in Music and a Master's degree in Education from CSU Stanislaus. She also brings years of teaching experience to our center.
Although Tammy already has a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Fullerton, she knows that learning is a life-long process and is currently working toward her Masters and Ed. Admin Credential. She shares her passion for learning with Beginning and Academic Reading, Math Essentials, and Writing students at our center.
Tim has been teaching Math Essentials and Algebra here at Sylvan for 8 years. He loves getting the students excited about learning and helping them to realize things they never thought of before. Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Chemistry and State Certification for tutoring.
Brain earned his teaching credentials from Cal State San Marcos and has been teaching in the Manteca area for 10 years after moving here from Utah. His favorite subject is Social Studies, but at our center he teaches Academic Reading, Beginning Reading, Academic Writing, and Math Essentials.
Carol teaches Math Essentials, Advanced Math, Academic Reading, and Academic Writing at our center. She has a Bachelor's degree in Math Educaiton from BYU-Idaho and Mathematics Teaching Credentials for the state of California. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the light and joy on a student's face when they understand material and no longer need to lean on her knowledge.
