Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Cyndi Fellman
Owner/Center Director
Cyndi's business philosophy focuses on serving her current families and making available to the Roseville community the highest educational products on the market today. Cyndi has over 20 years of sales and management experience. She began her career in the optical sales business and has been working for Sylvan for the past 5 years. Cyndi and her husband Kevin enjoy watching their son Devon play competitive soccer in the Sacramento area.
Alyssa Rios, M.A.
Owner/Director of Education
Alyssa holds a BA from CSU Stanislas with a major in liberal studies with a concentration in English. She received her teaching credential and MA in Education from the University of Phoenix.
With 4 years of experience at Sylvan, Alyssa enjoys helping her students reach their full potential and making a difference in their lives.
In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and watching her two girls grow!
Cassi Humphreys
Administrative Assistant
Cassi is the first of our friendly employees you will meet at our Roseville Sylvan Learning Center. Cassi assists our teachers during instruction and coordinates our student activities, just to name a few of her many duties! Cassi has over 5 years experience working with the Sacramento area Sylvan Learning centers.
Astrid Stoltmann
Teacher/Administrative Assistant
Astrid has been with our center since October of 2009. Astrid is one of our teachers as well as one of our wonderful administrative assistants. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelors in Classical Archaeology and Anthropology. Her hobbies include traveling, archaeology, and languages.
Natasha Novak
Teacher/Administrative Assistant
Natasha has been working for Sylvan since 2011 as a teacher and administrative assistant. She graduated from CSU Sacramento with a degree in Liberal Studies and a teaching credential.
Natasha enjoys spending time with her two sons and working at Sylvan!
Pam Baldwin
Teacher
Pam has been with our center for 8 years. She teaches Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, and Sylvan Academic Writing. Pam graduated from CSU Chico with a Bachelors in Sociology. Her hobbies include anything outdoors, hiking, the coast, and photography.
Mike Bianchi-Rossi
Teacher
Mike has been working for Sylvan for 7 years. He teaches our students Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Advanced Math, Homework Support, Sylvan Academic Writing, SAT Prep, ACT Prep, Advanced Reading Skills, Sylvan Study Skills, Geometry, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2.
Mike graduated from CSU Sonoma with a Bachelors in History. In his spare time, Mike enjoys reading and theatre.
Joyce Neely
Teacher
Joyce graduated from Eureka College with a Bachelors in English/Education. She teaches our students Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Study Skills, and Sylvan Academic Writing. Joyce enjoys hiking, knitting, reading, and traveling.
Brian Rivera
Teacher
Brian teaches our Sylvan Academic Reading and Sylvan Math Essentials Programs. He has been with Sylvan for over 3 years. Brian graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. His hobbies include running and cars.
LeAnne Dolce
Teacher
LeAnne graduated from Saint Mary's with a Bachelors in Business. She obtained her teaching credential, along with her special education credential from Chapman. Her hobbies and interests include playing with her dogs, going to sports games, and traveling around the world.
Leanne has with us since October 2008. She teaches our Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Academic Writing, Sylvan Math Essentials, and Sylvan Beginning Reading Programs.
Marc Nye
Teacher
Marc graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelors in Mathematics. He teaches our students Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Advanced Math, Sylvan Academic Reading, SAT Prep, ACT Prep, and Sylvan Study Skills. His hobbies include math, piano, and computer programming.
Elaine Parish
Teacher
Elaine has been with our center since 2009. She teaches our students Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Study Skills, Sylvan Academic Writing, and Homework Support. Elaine graduated form Gettysburg College with a Bachelors in English. She later obtained a Bachelors in Computer Science from Coleman College. Her hobbies include reading, walking, dogs, grandchildren, and swimming.
Jenny Lee
Teacher
Jenny has been with our center since July 2008. She teaches Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Academic Writing, Advanced Reading Skills, SAT Prep, Sylvan Study Skills, and Homework Support. Jenny graduated from CSU Hayward with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies. Her hobbies and interests include swimming, water polo, reading, writing, watching basketball, spending time with her husband, daughter, and 2 dogs.
Laura Rust
Teacher
Laura has been working for Sylvan since 2010 as one of our reading and early math teachers. She graduated from UC Riverside with a BS in Anthropology.
In her free time, Laura enjoys kayaking and spending time with her family.
Nicole Miller
Teacher
Nicole graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Education from UC Davis and received her teaching credential from CSU Sacramento. Nicole has been teaching our students: Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, and Sylvan Advanced Mathematics since March 2011. In her spare time Nicole enjoys sewing, bike riding, reading, photography, arts/crafts, and movies.
Steven Crain
Teacher
Steven has worked for Sylvan for 2 years both at the Pacific Grove Sylvan and here in Roseville. Steven earned two BA's in history and education as well as his teaching credential from UC Santa Barbara.
Steven's favorite pastimes are living history and ballroom dancing. He is also trained as a theatrical director and has published over 65 articles! In his spare time he loves spending time with his wife and loving family.
Amy Gordon, M.A.
Educational Specialist
Amy received her BA from Boston College majoring in both Elementary Education and Spanish. She holds an MA from Cal Poly San Luis Obisopo in Reading and Literacy Education.
With over 7 years of Sylvan experience, Amy has enjoyed working with a large number of students and helping to prepare them for whatever their educational future holds.
Mundip K. Singh
Educational Specialist
Mundip graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelors in Kiniesiology. She has worked for Sylvan since 2005 as a teacher, Director of Education, Center Director, and now is a Educational Specialist. Her hobbies include being a mom to her 2 children, spending time with her husband, reading, and scrapbooking.
Heather Gwinup
Educational Specialist
Heather has been with Sylvan since June 2005. She graduated from St. Mary's College of California with Bachelors in Liberal and Civic Studies in 2000. She obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UC Davis in 2002. Her hobbies include being a mom to her 2 year old son, hanging out with her husband, group leader for Bible Study Fellowship.
