Astrid Stoltmann

Center Director

Astrid has been with our center since October of 2009. Astrid is one of our teachers as well as one of our wonderful administrative assistants. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelors in Classical Archaeology and Anthropology. Her hobbies include traveling, archaeology, and languages.

Pam Baldwin

Teacher

Pam has been with our center for 8 years. She teaches Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, and Sylvan Academic Writing. Pam graduated from CSU Chico with a Bachelors in Sociology. Her hobbies include anything outdoors, hiking, the coast, and photography.

Mike Bianchi-Rossi

Teacher

Mike has been working for Sylvan for 7 years. He teaches our students Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Advanced Math, Homework Support, Sylvan Academic Writing, SAT Prep, ACT Prep, Advanced Reading Skills, Sylvan Study Skills, Geometry, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2.
Mike graduated from CSU Sonoma with a Bachelors in History. In his spare time, Mike enjoys reading and theatre.

Joyce Neely

Teacher

Joyce graduated from Eureka College with a Bachelors in English/Education. She teaches our students Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Study Skills, and Sylvan Academic Writing. Joyce enjoys hiking, knitting, reading, and traveling.

Brian Rivera

Teacher

Brian teaches our Sylvan Academic Reading and Sylvan Math Essentials Programs. He has been with Sylvan for over 3 years. Brian graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. His hobbies include running and cars.

LeAnne Dolce

Director of Education

LeAnne graduated from Saint Mary's with a Bachelors in Business. She obtained her teaching credential, along with her special education credential from Chapman. Her hobbies and interests include playing with her dogs, going to sports games, and traveling around the world.
Leanne has with us since October 2008. She teaches our Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Academic Writing, Sylvan Math Essentials, and Sylvan Beginning Reading Programs.

Marc Nye

Teacher

Marc graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelors in Mathematics. He teaches our students Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Advanced Math, Sylvan Academic Reading, SAT Prep, ACT Prep, and Sylvan Study Skills. His hobbies include math, piano, and computer programming.

Elaine Parish

Teacher

Elaine has been with our center since 2009. She teaches our students Sylvan Beginning Reading, Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, Sylvan Study Skills, Sylvan Academic Writing, and Homework Support. Elaine graduated form Gettysburg College with a Bachelors in English. She later obtained a Bachelors in Computer Science from Coleman College. Her hobbies include reading, walking, dogs, grandchildren, and swimming.

Laura Rust

Teacher

Laura has been working for Sylvan since 2010 as one of our reading and early math teachers. She graduated from UC Riverside with a BS in Anthropology.

In her free time, Laura enjoys kayaking and spending time with her family.

Nicole Miller

Teacher

Nicole graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Education from UC Davis and received her teaching credential from CSU Sacramento. Nicole has been teaching our students: Sylvan Academic Reading, Sylvan Math Essentials, and Sylvan Advanced Mathematics since March 2011. In her spare time Nicole enjoys sewing, bike riding, reading, photography, arts/crafts, and movies.

Steven Crain

Teacher

Steven has worked for Sylvan for 2 years both at the Pacific Grove Sylvan and here in Roseville. Steven earned two BA's in history and education as well as his teaching credential from UC Santa Barbara.

Steven's favorite pastimes are living history and ballroom dancing. He is also trained as a theatrical director and has published over 65 articles! In his spare time he loves spending time with his wife and loving family.

Rodney Rios

Administrative Assessment

Rodney is the first friendly face you'll when you come into our center! He loves working with kids and he loves technology! His hobbies include configuring his wireless router, spending time with his wife and his cats. He is currently working on his M.S.C.T. certification.
