Success Stories

Danielle's Algebra Success!

"Danielle really enjoyed the personal attention she received at Sylvan and always looked forward to
going. I liked the idea that Sylvan would not move on to a new concept until she proved she fully
understood each section. It was amazing to see the change in our daughter. Her confidence rose, she
began trusting herself that she could do math and ultimately like it. They assisted her with homework in
her Algebra two the following year, while continuing to fill in all the gaps of years of getting left behind.

Once Danielle was caught up with the basics she was able succeed in class.

Her school counselor allowed her to re-take her Algebra 1 final. Danielle earned an 85% passing grade.
The high school accepted the accreditation through Sylvan and the final grade will appear on her
transcripts.

This year after completing math and the algebra course through Sylvan, Danielle went on to win a math
Silver medal in Roseville High Schools Academic Decathlon, competing against 7 other high schools!

We owe all this to Danielle’s hard work and the teachers and administrators at Sylvan Learning Center.

Danielle was at a cross roads in her life and I know that without the assistance and support we received
a t Sylvan, we would not have the confident, happy teenager we have today."

Academic Excellence Award for AJ!

"AJ just recently received
an Academic Excellence Award and now belongs to the Honor Roll Students of his school. It put tears in
my eyes the first time I heard him read on his own and he was so excited telling me the story of his book.
He now loves to read. My family is very grateful to Cyndi and her staff for all the help that they are extending to AJ."

Beginning Reading Success

""...sometimes at night, I will tell him to go to bed. When I check on him to see if he asleep, about 20-30 minutes later, I will find him reading a book! It's a great thing, but now I have to make sure there aren't books in his room prior to bed time.

We just got his report card, for second quarter and he got all threes and fours! We are so excited and so thankful for everyone there at sylvan.

We're so grateful for the wonderful, caring staff at Sylvan; so many people get frustrated with a child with special needs. It was worth every penny""
