Sylvan Math Essentials is a program based on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards and uses nationally recognized materials. Critical thinking skills such as problem solving, estimation, and logic take students beyond the basics of mathematical computation. Students master a new skill before advancing to the next level, ensuring the retention of information long after it is learned!
Sylvan Advanced Math
Sylvan's Alegbra program is designed for students who need to reinforce basic algebra skills and build confidence as well as students who have never taken an Algebra class. Areas of skill development include: Connections to Algebra, Equations and inequalities, Polynomials, Factoring, Fractions and rational expressions, Linear equations and graphing, Radicals, and Quadratic Fuctions and equations. Students can receive high school credit for their Algebra program, as Sylvan is accredited by NAAS and CITA.

Sylvan's Geometry program is designed for students who need to review and reinforce existing geometry skills as well as students who have never taken a Geometry course. Areas of skill development include: Angles and lines, Triangles and quadrilaterals, Circles and three-dimensional figures, Similar triangles and transformations, Advanced triangle applications, Inductive and deductive reasoning, and Writing proofs. Students can receive high school credit for their Geometry program, as Sylvan is accredited by NAAS and CITA.
