Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Kim Dorn

Center Director

Owner/ Center Director. Kim has owned and operated the center for over five years. She comes from a Business background.

She takes great pleasure in helping students raise self esteem and providing them with skills that will last a lifetime.

Carolyn Wallace

Test Administrator/Instructor

Carolyn joined our Sylvan Team in January 2007. She graduated from Corban College with her Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education.

She is a certified substitute teacher for Oregon and loves teaching at Sylvan. Her responsibilities range from teaching, testing and tech support.

Carolyn is also involved with teaching 2 years for a local MOPS (Mother's of PreSchoolers) group and helps with our No Child Left Behind
program.

Tracy West

Director of Education

Tracy West is Sylvan's Director of Education for middle and high school students.

She has a degree in regular and special education from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Tracy is married with two grown sons.

Tracy has been with Sylvan Learning Center since 1988 and has been at our center for the last five years. She truly enjoys the opportunity to work with students and their families.

Kimberly Whitehouse

Director of Education

Kimberly Whitehouse has served as our Director of Education since 2000.

She started as a part time instructor in 1997 and since then has held a variety of positions in this center.

Kimberly is originally from New York and earned her Bachelor of Education from State University of New York, Oneonta. She has taught preschool, kindergarten, and grades 3 & 4, and has extensive experience as a substitute teacher in grades K-8.

Kimberly's strengths are serving elementary and early middle school students, with a focus on developing confident and motivated learners.
